When completing our apartment project at 14 Queen Mary in 2023, we wanted to create a striking feature for the three-story lobby wall. The project’s name comes from its location on Queen Mary Avenue in Floreal, and we envisioned a wall art piece depicting a young queen.

The creative process was a collaborative effort, involving both our team and external contributors. Noé, fresh out of high school, introduced us to Leonardo AI, which we used to generate our base illustration. After several late nights experimenting with prompts, we finally found our queen.

Vanessa then suggested framing her within a playing card design, which led us to expand the concept: a full set of four queens, each representing a different Mauritian community. This not only celebrated the island’s diversity but also reflected the multicultural backgrounds of the apartment owners.

Bhavish, our intern, brought his Photoshop skills to the table, crafting the playing card frames and backgrounds. Finally, Agigraphix handled the printing and installation.

The result? A one-of-a-kind 4 meters high artwork that creates a unique and welcoming atmosphere in the entrance lobby.
