Ilôt Fortier

By detaching the two apartments on the ground and first floors and introducing a double-height passage that crosses the site from the parking entrance to the pool deck, we were able to maximize privacy for each apartment by eliminating shared walls. The penthouse above bridges this gap, creating a unique architectural configuration.

This experimental design approach was further refined in the Mont Choisy Living project, where a central atrium was introduced. However, the setting of this project on Ilot Fortier distinguishes it from typical seaside apartment developments. Surrounded by nature, the site offers exclusive views of natural features, free from urban distractions.

The penthouse stands out with its stunning 360-degree panorama, showcasing landmarks such as La Tourelle de Tamarin, Piton de la Rivière Noire, and Le Morne mountain.

The material palette—featuring taupe-rendered walls, light synthetic cladding, and off-shutter concrete ceilings—harmonizes seamlessly with the natural environment. This selection of materials also enabled us to create dynamic volumes that bring variety and visual interest to the facades.
