La Tourelle Ocean View
Developing our first major apartment project on a mountain slope was a challenging endeavor when we started the design in 2009. Extensive stormwater drainage systems and retaining walls were required to create stable platforms for the buildings.
The project comprises six G+3 apartment blocks, with the ground floor dedicated to garages. The first floor accommodates four 2 bedrooms apartments, while the upper levels house four duplexes each, resulting in a total of 48 apartments. Additionally, a separate building hosts shared amenities, including a common pool, gym, steam room, technical facilities, and a management office.
The façade design features a stone base complemented by two-story white-framed elements. Above this, a curved timber façade wraps around the building, extending to the roof. This design not only softens the building’s visual impact but also reduces its perceived height. Timber battens are incorporated as a façade screen to further mitigate heat gain from the afternoon sun, enhancing both comfort and aesthetics.
