Situated at the far end of Pointe d’Azur, the project is surrounded by the sea and positioned directly on the reef, offering stunning 180-degree views of Coin de Mire Island.

The challenge was to accommodate the seven of apartments within the setback lines, which resulted in a distinctive triangular building plan and an elevated pool above the parking.

During the design process, we consulted with several sea lovers familiar with the northern coast of the island. They emphasized the importance of creating a low-profile structure that would integrate seamlessly into the natural surroundings, minimizing its visual impact on the coastline. This consideration was particularly important given the site’s high visibility on the maritime way from Grand Baie to Coin de Mire.

To achieve this, we utilized earthy paint tones, stone claddings, timber structures and thatch roofs to ensure the building blended harmoniously with the landscape.
